Gothic 1 Remake: Editions
Also known as: Collector's Edition, Gothic Remake Standard Edition
Gothic 1 Remake launched in two purchasable editions: a Standard Edition and a Collector’s Edition. No Deluxe or Digital Deluxe tier was offered at any price point. The editions differ significantly in price and physical content, and platform-specific pre-order incentives were available for both.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition is priced at 49.99 USD/EUR on PC and 59.99 USD/EUR on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. On PC it is available through Steam (app ID 1297900) and GOG. The ten-dollar premium on console is accounted for by the bundling of Gothic Classic — the original 2001 Gothic, patched for modern systems — which is included with the console version and accessible immediately after purchase rather than at some later date. PC pre-orders received a separate incentive: the official digital soundtrack composed by Kai Rosenkranz, who scored both the 2001 original and the 2026 remake, available as a download. Console pre-orders received immediate access to Gothic Classic at the point of pre-ordering. Gothic Classic is also being released as a standalone purchase on 28 July 2026 at 29.99 EUR for players who missed the bundle or prefer to buy it separately. Physical discs for the Standard Edition on both PC and console require a Day-One Patch before the full game is accessible, as the disc does not contain the complete installation.
Collector’s Edition
The Collector’s Edition is priced at 199.99 USD/EUR and is strictly limited to 7,500 units worldwide across all platforms. Its contents include a Sleeper Wall Mask measuring 34 by 24 centimetres — a prop replica referencing the Brotherhood of the Sleeper, the central demonic cult of Gothic 1 — alongside a genuine leather wristband, a leather-bound notebook, a digital soundtrack voucher and a physical copy of the game. Units purchased through the THQ Nordic store include platform-specific extras: a steelbook case on PC and a physical Gothic Classic disc on console. The limited production run and the inclusion of the Sleeper mask make the Collector’s Edition the primary collector’s item for longtime series fans.
No Deluxe Tier
Unusually for a THQ Nordic release of this scale, no Digital Deluxe or intermediate-tier edition was announced or made available. The absence of a mid-tier option means buyers choose directly between the Standard Edition and the Collector’s Edition, with no upgrade path offering additional digital content or cosmetic items at a middle price point.
Pre-Order Incentive Summary
PC pre-orders received the Kai Rosenkranz digital soundtrack as a download. Console pre-orders received immediate access to Gothic Classic, the 2001 original. Neither incentive affected gameplay content in the remake itself. Both rewards were positioned as low-stakes additions for players willing to commit ahead of the 5 June 2026 launch, with the soundtrack appealing to fans of the franchise’s musical identity and Gothic Classic carrying particular value for players who had not experienced the original game.
